PurrScout for online stores
PurrScout is an iPhone wishlist app. People save products from your store and follow its sales. Here you decide whether PurrScoutBot may read your sale catalogue — or stays away from your store.
What PurrScout reads
- Only items on sale: the name, a link to the photo, the price, your regular price or your published lowest price of the last 30 days, and the product link.
- Your
robots.txtfirst, every time:User-agent: PurrScoutBotrules apply to us. Never past a login, a bot wall or a CAPTCHA; never anything about your customers. - Or nothing from your pages at all: give us your existing Google Merchant or Ceneo feed on your own domain and we read only that file (and its host's
robots.txt), twice a day.
What your store gets — free
- Your deals in the app for everyone who follows your store, each one linking straight to your product page — the click goes to you.
- Honest prices: a −% only against your own published lowest price of the 30 days before the reduction (the Omnibus rule), otherwise a plain “Sale” tag. We never invent a “was” price.
- No fee, no contract, no tracking added to your links.
Good to know
Can I stop later?
Yes, any time: choose “Do not read our store” and verify again. From then on our servers send your store no requests, and its deals leave the app at once. A Disallow for PurrScoutBot in robots.txt works too.
Which feed fields do you read?
Google Merchant: id, title, link, image_link, price, sale_price, sale_price_effective_date, availability, brand, gtin — an item counts only while sale_price is below price and it is in stock. Ceneo’s format has no previous price, so an <o> counts only with old_price (your regular price) or your published 30-day low: lowest_price_30d or an attribute row named “Najniższa cena z 30 dni”.
Do you write to stores?
No. We send no letters or e-mails to stores — this page is the only way in, and it is yours to use.
